Go into all the world . . .
CBC works with missionaries around the world.  We believe that one of the tasks of the church is to share the Good News wherever and whenever God gives us the opportunity.  Below are some brief introductions to some fine people with whom we are privileged to work.
The Davises serve with Biblical Ministries Worldwide in New Zealand.
Pink & Selena regularly post information on Facebook.  Here & here.
The Davises are currently living at 2120 S. Carpenter Drive.  They are on furlough ministering at churches in our area.

The Hodges serve in Bolivia with Fellowship International Mission.  Keep up with Lonnie and Ruth on Facebook at Lonnie's page.
Lonnie is a native of Bath County.

Daughter church in Ecuador:
For 2 decades we have been involved in planting a church among the Awa of Ecuador.
Our Pastor and his family, the Williams, were instrumental in establishing this church.  While we no longer have a missionary with the Awa we remain vitally interested in their progress.  You can often find news about the Awa church in the Bruce's postings.

Mr. & Mrs Topher Lee (pseudonym) currently work in the Southwest United States.  They are soon bound for Asia.  They serve with Launch Global.
The Lee's passion is to mobilize and train laborers--mostly young adults--to catalyze church planting movements among unreached people groups.  In Asia, they will train American workers coming into the region and mobilize teams of locals to impact the unreached.

Appalachian Bible College and Covington Bible Church have histories that entertwine in significant ways.   Dr. Lester Pipkin, founder and first president of ABC, was also intrumental in founding CBC, and served as our first pastor.  Both our current pastors and their spouses, as well as several former pastors and current missionaries were educated at ABC.
We partner with ABC to help prepare servant leaders for ministry in the 21st Century church, and world.

Fred & Cindy Stromberg, after serving for over a decade in Honduras, they have transitioned to a new church planting ministry in Utah.  You can reach Fred at fstromberg@biblicalministries.org.

Jacob and Crystal Morse work with Local Church Ministries through Word of Life Korea.

Andy Williams grew up in Ecuador.  His family were missionaries to the Awa.  Andy is a graduate of Appalachian Bible College and New Tribes Training Institute.  Andy is serving with New Tribes Mission in Colombia.
You can reach Andy at andy_williams@ntm.org.

As you can see elsewhere on this website CBC majors on helping people serve as laymen.  Being Good for Nothing  as we say.  Kristin and Doug McLain are great examples of this.  Doug serves as property manager for Word of Life, New York.

Each Fall, a crew from CBC, travels to Schroon Lake New York to work on projects at Word of Life camps, conference center, and Bible Institute--the property that Doug McLain manages.
You can find out more about this hands-on missionary opportunity be getting in touch with Mike Lomasney.
